Arch Announces Senior Credit and Political Risk Appointment

Tim Watson to join Arch Insurance International as Senior Underwriter for Credit and Political Risk.

London, 6 January 2021 – Arch Insurance International (Arch or the Company) has today announced the appointment of Tim Watson as Senior Underwriter, Credit and Political Risk. He is set to join the Company in mid-2021.

In this role, Watson will be responsible for underwriting activities across the Credit and Political Risk insurance portfolio, focusing on opportunities to build on the Company’s growth to date in this sector and enhance its service capabilities. Based in London, he will report to Ed Cornish, Head of Credit & Political Risk.

Watson is a highly regarded underwriter with over a decade of market experience within the Credit and Political Risk class of business. Most recently, he was Credit and Political Risk Underwriter at Canopius Group. Prior to this, he was Credit and Political Risk Underwriter at ANV and Terrorism and Political Violence Underwriter at Jubilee. 

Commenting on his appointment, Cornish said: “Arch has achieved strong growth across its Credit & Political Risk portfolio since the establishment of the team two years ago.  Tim’s experience and expertise make him an ideal addition to our team and he will play a key role in helping to further strengthen our broker relationships in this highly competitive and fast-evolving sector.”
